Church Incorporation
The Foundation can assist your church with several administrative issues including the incorporation process. Incorporating your church is not required in Arkansas but it does provide a formal structure for your church, and can be helpful when transacting with govermental and financial situations. If your church needs assistance in incorporating your church, you can follow the steps below to begin the process.
Steps
1
In order for us to prepare the documents for incorporation, please complete the following questionnaire. Return the questionnaire to us by mail or email. We will prepare and return the final document to you.
2
Make two copies of the Articles of Incorporation provided from step 1. Have the incorporators sign both documents.
3
Mail the Secretary of State’s office the original and one copy of the Articles of Incorporation and a $50.00 check made payable to the Secretary of State.
4
If the Secretary of State’s office finds all requirements have been met, a Certificate of Incorporation will be issued and mailed back to you.
*Please note that under state law all nonprofit corporations must have bylaws in which provisions for the regulation and management of the affairs of the corporation are set out.*
