The following scholarships will be awarded by the Arkansas Baptist Foundation.

Eloise Harper Keen Balmer Scholarship

Available for students attending Ouachita Baptist University with preference given to those preparing for a career in the fields of engineering or medicine.

 

Adele Browning Scholarship

Available for needy students attending Ouachita Baptist University.

 

Robin Leigh Davidson Causey Music Therapy Scholarship

Available for students pursuing a degree in music who intend to use it for ministry.

 

Grace Fellowship Scholarship

Available for an orphaned or  abandoned and neglected student/ prospective student at Ouachita Baptist University or Williams Baptist University who is preparing for a Christian vocation. The student or prospective student must have already acquired a GED or high school diploma and must also show evidence of a need for financial assistance.

 

Grace Seminary Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend one of the Southern Baptist seminaries.

 

Medical Missions Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend college, seminary, or medical school if they are preparing for Southern Baptist medical missionary service.

 

Powell-Duffell Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend an Arkansas accredited college/ university if they are preparing for vocational Christian ministry and will be a sophomore/junior in the year for which they are applying.

 

Suttle Seminary Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend one of the Southern Baptist seminaries.

 

Robert L. and Joanne S. Westbrook Scholarship

Available for students from Magnolia, Arkansas attending Ouachita Baptist University or Baylor University.

SECONDARY DEADLINE: AUGUST 1ST, 2018

The following scholarships will be awarded by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Scholarship Committee.

Ministry Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend an Arkansas accredited college/ university if they are preparing for pastoral ministry.

 

Pryor Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for this scholarship related to educational expenses for those studying in religious education and/or music in order to serve in international or home mission work of the Southern Baptist Convention.

The following scholarships will be awarded by stand-alone committees, some with separate applications and deadlines.

ABN Communications Scholarship


The scholarship’s intent is to provide financial assistance for a student attending Williams Baptist University or Ouachita Baptist University – or in some cases another Arkansas-based college or university – who has a passion for Jesus Christ and a desire to pursue a career in communications that furthers the cause of Christ in vocational ministry or the secular marketplace.

 

Hammons Charitable Foundation

Active Southern Baptist students from east Arkansas and west Tennessee may apply for need-based scholarships in the first two years of college if attending Baylor University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Ouachita Baptist University, Union University, Williams Baptist University, or East Arkansas Community College.

 

Mandy Coats Scholarship

Individuals may apply for this scholarship needing financial assistance in attending the college, university, or seminary of their choice.  Preference will be given to student-athletes who are active members of evangelical Christian churches and who show promise of becoming outstanding Christian citizens in society.

 

Nancy Cooper WMU Scholarship

Applicants should be committed to a career in missions or to vocational Christian ministry, must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church in Arkansas, and have completed one year of college with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference shall be given to women applicants.

 

Red River Baptist Association Seminary Scholarship

Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend one of the Southern Baptist seminaries.
