The Scholarship Application for the 2024-2025 academic year is now closed.
DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1ST
The following scholarships will be awarded by the Arkansas Baptist Foundation board.
Eloise Harper Keen Balmer Scholarship
Available for students attending Ouachita Baptist University with preference given to those preparing for a career in the fields of engineering or medicine.
Adele Browning Scholarship
Available for needy students attending Ouachita Baptist University.
Robin Leigh Davidson Causey Music Therapy Scholarship
Available for students pursuing a degree in music who intend to use it for ministry.
David Bond Heart of a Servant Scholarship
Available for Arkansas Baptist students attending or planning to attend Ouachita Baptist University, who are pursuing a vocation in Music Education or Christian Studies.
Grace Fellowship Scholarship
Available for an orphaned or abandoned and neglected student/prospective student at Ouachita Baptist University or Williams Baptist University who is preparing for a Christian vocation. The student or prospective student must have already acquired a GED or high school diploma and must also show evidence of a need for financial assistance.
Medical Missions Scholarship
Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend college, seminary, or medical school if they are preparing for Southern Baptist medical missionary service.
Powell-Duffell Scholarship
Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend an Arkansas accredited college/ university if they are preparing for vocational Christian ministry and will be a sophomore/junior in the year for which they are applying.
Suttle Seminary Scholarship
Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend one of the Southern Baptist seminaries.
Robert L. and Joanne S. Westbrook Scholarship
Available for students from Magnolia, Arkansas attending Ouachita Baptist University or Baylor University.

The following scholarships will be awarded by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Scholarship Committee.
Ministry Scholarship
Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend an Arkansas accredited college/ university if they are preparing for pastoral ministry.
Pryor Scholarship
Available for young Arkansas Baptist students preparing for a ministry-related vocation in a Southern Baptist church or mission apointment with either the International Mission Board or North American Mission Board.
The following scholarships will be awarded by stand-alone committees or individuals. See guidelines for deadline.
Dionisio S. Ortiz Memorial Scholarship – February 1 Deadline
Available for students attending Ouachita Baptist University, who have graduated from a Paraguayan high school and are an OBU legacy.

Ellis & Pat Milligan Ministry Scholarship – February 1 Deadline
Available for junior or senior level college students or graduate students attending an accredited Arkansas college who are preparing for vocational ministry, have a 3.0 GPA or higher and is based on financial need. Preference will be given, in order, to those planning to work in Foreign Missions, Military Chaplainship, Medical Missions or general Christian Ministry.

Hammons Charitable Foundation – February 1 Deadline
Active Southern Baptist students from east Arkansas and west Tennessee may apply for need-based scholarships in the first two years of college if attending Baylor University, Oklahoma Baptist University, Ouachita Baptist University, Union University, Williams Baptist University, or East Arkansas Community College.

Jim & Jana Harris Advance Arkansas Scholarship – February 1 Deadline
Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Preference will be given to graduates of high schools in Carroll County who exhibit financial need.

Lillian May WMU Scholarship – February 1 Deadline
Applicants must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church pursuing graduate level study at a Southern Baptist Seminary. Preference shall be given to women from Arkansas.

Arkansas Master’Singers Memorial Scholarship – February 1 Deadline
The Master’Singers Memorial Scholarship is designed to support students who are preparing for some type of vocational ministry through music.
Nancy Cooper WMU Scholarship – February 1 Deadline
Applicants should be committed to a career in missions or to vocational Christian ministry, must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church in Arkansas, and have completed one year of college with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference shall be given to women applicants.

Out of State Minister’s Child Scholarship Fund – February 1 Deadline
Available for students attending Ouachita Baptist University, who have lived in Arkansas and attended Junior and/or Senior High School in North Carolina and/or South Carolina and are a child of a License and/or Ordained Minister.

The following scholarships have separate applications and deadlines. You will need to complete each application and references required according to their own guidelines.
Mandy Coats Scholarship – April 1 Deadline
Individuals may apply for this scholarship needing financial assistance in attending their freshman year of a college or university of their choice. Preference will be given to student-athletes who are active members of evangelical Christian churches and who show promise of becoming outstanding Christian citizens in society.

Red River Baptist Association Seminary Scholarship – June 1 Deadline
Arkansas Baptists may apply for a scholarship to attend one of the Southern Baptist seminaries.
