Consider your organization establishing its own endowment through the Arkansas Baptist Foundation to literally make a difference at home and literally around the world.  Allow the Foundation to be your back-office support for establishing your own endowment.

Steps for Establishing an Endowment
1. Discuss establishing the Endowment among the church leadership using this website and the suggested discussion material.

2. Develop guidelines for the new Endowment's Board members and the operation of the Endowment. (See Sample Guidelines)

3. Seek approval from the church's authoritative structure for prospective Board members, guidelines for the Endowment, and the back-office Management Agreement with the Arkansas Baptist Foundation. (The Foundation provides back-office support including investment management, accounting, and reporting, as well as the tax and legal work related to the church's Endowment. (Disclosure statement.)

4. Ongoing: 

• As new accounts are established for the church's Endowment, a Letter of Instruction will be needed for each account.  For the account name, please use the church's Endowment name along with the purpose designation.
